Twelve Weeks Of Impact – Art Infliction

Due to router problems for about a week, I have fallen behind on handing out the Impact Player Of The Week awards for Week 6 and beyond. And because I refuse to throw in the towel after five weeks, I’ve decided to do something Christmas themed, entitled the Twelve Weeks Of Impact, an entry where I recognize Impact Players from NFL games for Week 6 through Week 17.

The matchups are in bold text via the bullet points and bold text below:

New York Giants Vs. New England Patriots-Tom Brady went 31-for-41 with 321 net passing yards. However, he had three turnovers and got sacked three times, along with it being the second time where he started to show his age. So with that being said, I’ll recognize two players on the Patriots defensive side of the ball in linebackers Jamie Collins and Kyle Van Noy, the former of whom forced a fumble of Giants running back Jon Hillman and the latter of whom returned it returned it 22 yards for a touchdown. The Collins-Van Noy collaboration helped the Patriots break a 14-14 tie to eventually pull away, 35-14, thus making both linebackers Co-Impact Players of this game.
Carolina Panthers Vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers-Kyle Allen, Christian McCaffrey, Curtis Samuel, the players who authored the combined seven sacks of Jameis Winston or the players who intercepted Winston five times are all worthy recipients of this award. However, the Impact Player of this game is Panthers kicker Joey Slye for converting a 29-yard field that prevented any hopes of the Buccaneers making things interesting towards the end.
Seattle Seahawks Vs. Cleveland Browns-The Impact Player award for this game is going four ways with Russell Wilson and Tyler Lockett getting it for collaborating on what was the game-winning 16-yard pitch-and-catch touchdown, Chris Carson for both scoring the ensuing two-point conversion to force the Browns to try to score a touchdown at the end and getting three yards on 3rd-and-1 carry to allow the Seahawks to run the clock out, and KJ Wright for intercepting Baker Mayfield to allow the aforementioned three-yard gain for Carson.
Houston Texans Vs. Kansas City Chiefs-The Impact Player award for this game is going three ways with the combination of Deshaun Watson and DeAndre Hopkins accounting for the last eight points to turn a 24-23 Texans deficit into an eventual 31-24 Texans win, along with them collaborating on an eight-yard gain via the pass on a 4th-and-3 to ice the game. The other third goes to D.J. Reader, whose destruction of a Patrick Mahomes pass to LeSean McCoy led to both a four-yard loss and a three-and-out for the Chiefs offense on that same series. That same series would go on to be the Chiefs’ final possession of that game.
Washington Redskins Vs. Miami Dolphins-In one of my two Week 6 losses, the Dolphins had a chance to prove me right, as they planned to win the game on a two-point pass attempt from Ryan Fitzpatrick to Kenyan Drake. However, Redskins third-year outside linebacker Ryan Anderson was in position to blow that play up, thus giving the Redskins the 17-16 victory and Anderson the Impact Player award of this game.
Philadelphia Eagles Vs. Minnesota Vikings-Even though the Vikings didn’t completely dominate all three phases of the game, they clearly outplayed the Eagles. And with that being said, I could give the Impact Player award of this game to multiple players on the winning team. However, I’m only giving that award to two of the Vikings offensive players. The first is Kirk Cousins for going 22-for-29 for 333 yards (325 net) and four touchdowns, and the second is Stefon Diggs for hauling in seven of those completions for 167 yards and three touchdowns.
New Orleans Saints Vs. Jacksonville Jaguars-Six Saints players get the Impact Player award for this game, with Teddy Bridgewater being the first one for going 24-for-36 for 240 yards (222 net) and a touchdown, along with orchestrating a game-ending clock-killing drive with his team up by a touchdown. Saints tight end Jared Cook, and running backs Latavius Murray and Alvin Kamara also get the award for touching the ball on that clock-killing drive, along with the first of those three players catching the lone touchdown pass from Bridgewater. And finally, two defensive players get the award, with Cameron Jordan racking two sacks of Gardner Minshew II and Marshon Lattimore accounting for the game’s only turnover via an interception of Minshew II.
Cincinnati Bengals Vs. Baltimore Ravens-In a game that could have been a letdown following the big Week 5 overtime victory in Pittsburgh, the Ravens were able to wear down the Bengals in the time of possession battle with a 39:42 to 20:58 edge. Central in that was Lamar Jackson, as he rushed for 152 of the 269 Ravens rushing yards and a touchdown. Jackson’s performance makes him the Impact Player of this game.
San Francisco 49ers Vs. Los Angeles Rams-In an uneven offensive performance for the 49ers, it was the 49ers defense that carried the day, as they held Jared Goff to 48 net passing yards and a lost fumble. They also authored four sacks of the number one pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, with Dee Ford getting a team-high 1.5 of them. The other three 49ers to record sacks were Arik Armstead, Solomon Thomas and Ronald Blair III. The San Francisco sack fest makes all four of those players the Impact Players of this game.
Atlanta Falcons Vs. Arizona Cardinals-Despite benefitting from Matt Bryant missing a game-tying extra point, the Cardinals needed a clock-killing drive, as they were up by only 1 with 1:53 to go in the game. But thanks to David Johnson and Kyler Murray combining for 10 rushing yards on the Cardinals’ final possession, they did indeed kill the clock to end the game. Johnson and Murray’s teamwork on the ground makes both Cardinals players Impact Players of this game.
Tennessee Titans Vs. Denver Broncos-In a game where the Broncos offense wasn’t spectacular, it was the Broncos defense that carried the day, as they pitched a shutout and held the Titans offense to 194 total net yards. They also racked seven sacks and three interceptions. The players that authored the sacks were Von Miller, DeMarcus Walker, Derek Wolfe, Alexander Johnson and Shelby Harris. And as for which players racked up the interceptions, well those players were Kareem Jackson, Chris Harris Jr. and Justin Simmons. The eight players whom authored those sacks and interceptions are the Impact Players of this game.
Dallas Cowboys Vs. New York Jets-Sam Darnold’s return to the line-up and his 92-yard touchdown pass to Robbie Anderson make a great case for both of those players being Impact Players of this game. However, I’m going to instead give that award to Jamal Adams for his blitz of Dak Prescott causing the Cowboys quarterback to misfire on his attempt to tie the game with a two-point conversion, and Demaryius Thomas for recovering the ensuing onside kick to allow the Jets to run out the clock.
Pittsburgh Steelers Vs. Los Angeles Chargers-Even with 99 yards to go in a one-score game, Philip Rivers is dangerous. Especially late in the game. However, Steelers cornerback Cameron Sutton thwarted Rivers’ latest attempt of a rally, as he picked him off at the Chargers 34-yard line and returned the interception 26 yards to allow his team to run the clock out. The game-ending interception makes the third-year cornerback out of Tennessee the Impact Player of this game.
Detroit Lions Vs. Green Bay Packers-In a game decided by two horrible illegal use of hands penalties against Lions defensive end Trey Flowers, I almost hesitate to give a player on the Packers the Impact Player award of this game. But I’ll rise above my ire of the officiating to give it to Packers running back Jamaal Williams, whom had the last meaningful play from scrimmage via an eight-yard run to get Mason Crosby in a chip shot range for a game-winning 23-yard field goal. The eight yards that Williams had gained were eight of his 104 rushing yards, the second most rushing yards that he has run for in a game during his three-year career. Kansas City Chiefs Vs. Denver Broncos-Defense, special teams, the quarterback bullpen and a star skill position player get an eight-way tie for the Impact Player award for this game. First, I’ll start with Reggie Ragland, whom got one of the eight sacks of Broncos quarterback Joe Flacco, along with returning a Flacco fumble five yards for a touchdown. Second, I’ll recognize Anthony Hitchens, Frank Clark, Emmanuel Ogbah and Alex Okafor for getting the other seven sacks of Flacco. Third, I’ll recognize Armani Watts for getting a sack of Broncos punter Colby Wadman on special teams. Fourth, I’ll recognize Matt Moore for coming in relief of Patrick Mahomes to go 10-for-19 for 115 net passing yards and a touchdown. And finally, I’ll recognize Tyreek Hill for breaking the game open for the Chiefs via a 57-yard touchdown pass from Moore.
Los Angeles Rams Vs. Atlanta Falcons-The Impact Player award for this game will go four ways in this one, with Jared Goff being recognized first for bouncing back via going 22-for-37 for 268 yards and two touchdowns. Next is Dante Fowler Jr. for getting three of the five L.A. sacks of Matt Ryan, followed by Aaron Donald for getting one of the two non-Fowler Jr. sacks and a fumble recovery, and Corey Littleton for getting the other of the non-Fowler Jr. sacks and an interception.
Miami Dolphins Vs. Buffalo Bills-The Impact Player award of this game goes to Micah Hyde for returning an onside kick 45 yards for a touchdown to put the game away for the Bills with 1:38 remaining.
Jacksonville Jaguars Vs. Cincinnati Bengals-The Impact Player award for this game is Yannick Ngakoue for returning an interception 23 yards to turn a 17-10 Jaguars lead in the fourth quarter into a 24-10 Jaguars lead in that final frame. The touchdown dashed any hopes of a Cincinnati comeback.
Minnesota Vikings Vs. Detroit Lions-The Impact Player for this game is Dalvin Cook, who carried the ball 25 times for 142 yards and two touchdowns, the second of which put the game away for the Vikings late in the fourth quarter.
Oakland Raiders Vs. Green Bay Packers-In his sixth game with Matt LaFleur as his head coach, this game was clearly Aaron Rodgers’ best thus far during the 2019 season. Against the Raiders, the two-time MVP amassed 427 total net yards (421 net passing) and six total touchdowns (five passing) to earn him the Impact Player award of this game.
Houston Texans Vs. Indianapolis Colts-Based on Jacoby Brissett’s gaudy pass numbers (321 net passing yards, four touchdowns) and the resurgence of Justin Houston (two sacks), you’d figure I pick one or both of those players for the Impact Player award of this game. However, I’m instead going with a defensive player as valuable as Houston, with that player being 2018 Defensive Rookie Of The Year Darius Leonard, who sealed the game with an interception of Deshaun Watson to preserve the 30-23 Colts win.
Arizona Cardinals Vs. New York Giants-Defense and the running game carried the Cardinals in this one, as seven Cardinals get the Impact Player award for this game. I’ll start with the player whom had half (four) the sacks (eight) of Daniel Jones in 2017 sack champion Chandler Jones. Next up are his cohorts whom amassed the other four sacks in Terrell Suggs, Brooks Reed, Corey Peters and Patrick Peterson. After them is Jordan Hicks for intercepting Daniel Jones. And finally, Chase Edmunds for rushing for 126 yards and three touchdowns.
San Francisco 49ers Vs. Washington Redskins-Five 49ers get the Impact Player award for this game. First, I’ll start with Robbie Gould, whose three field goals accounted for all of the points in this game. Next is Jullian Taylor for recovering a fumble that ended up being San Francisco’s only forced turnover of the game. And finally, I’ll recognize Nick Bosa, Dee Ford and Arik Armstead for each recording a sack in this game.
Los Angeles Chargers Vs. Tennessee Titans-The Impact Player award for this game goes to two Titans, with Wesley Woodyard being the first one for forcing Melvin Gordon to fumble the ball at the Titans one-yard line and Jurrell Casey being the second for recovering the ball to thwart L.A.’s bid at yet another late-game victory in the Philip Rivers era.
New Orleans Saints Vs. Chicago Bears-Five Saints get the Impact Player award for this game. First, I’ll start with Teddy Bridgewater for going 23-for-38 for 273 net passing yards and two touchdowns. Second, I’ll go with the Hill brothers (Josh and Taysum) for being the recipients of Bridgewater’s two touchdown passes. Next, I’ll go with Latavius Murray for carrying the ball 27 times for 119 yards and two touchdowns. And finally, I’ll go with Cameron Jordan for racking up two more sacks.
Baltimore Ravens Vs. Seattle Seahawks-Three Ravens get the Impact Player award for this game, with Lamar Jackson getting it via 116 rushing yards and a touchdown on 14 carries. Next is Marcus Peters for returning an interception 67 yards for a touchdown in his Ravens debut. And finally, Marlon Humphrey for putting the game away with an 18-yard fumble return for a touchdown.
Philadelphia Eagles Vs. Dallas Cowboys-The obvious choice(s) would have been one or all three of the triplets (Dak Prescott, Ezekiel Elliot, Amari Cooper). However, I’m going to give the Impact Player award of this game to Jaylon Smith and Maliek Collins for teaming on the forced turnover during the Eagles’ first possession, as well as Tavon Austin for scoring from 20 yards out via a rushing touchdown, following that aforementioned turnover to give the Cowboys a 7-0 for an eventual 37-10 wire-to-wire Cowboys victory.
New England Patriots Vs. New York Jets-The offense was a little bit better for the Patriots in this game, but still not good enough to be considered a championship level offense. Instead, the Impact Player award for this game goes to six of their defensive players, with the first being John Simon for forcing a fumble via the Patriots’ lone sack of the game and the second being Kyle Van Noy for recovering it to set up Sony Michel’s second rushing touchdown of the game. And lastly, I’ll recognize the four Patriots that each got interceptions. They are the following: Stephon Gilmore, Devin McCourty, Duron Harmon and Terrence Brooks. Washington Redskins Vs. Minnesota Vikings-In a game where the Vikings weren’t spectacular offensively, the defense stepped up. And with that being said, seven Vikings defenders get the Impact Player award of this game. I’ll start with Anthony Harris, whom recorded one of the two Minnesota forced turnovers via an interception of Dwayne Haskins Jr. Next is Shamar Stephen for recording the other Minnesota forced turnover via a fumble recovery. And lastly, the authors of the four Minnesota sacks: Danielle Hunter, Everson Griffen, Anthony Barr, Linval Joseph and Ifeadi Odenigbo.
Seattle Seahawks Vs. Atlanta Falcons-Four Seahawks get the Impact Player award of this game, with three of them on offense and one of them on special teams. Those four Seahawks players are Russell Wilson, Chris Carson, DK Metcalf and Jason Myers for scoring all 27 Seahawks points to make the game insurmountable for a Falcons rally minus Matt Ryan.
Philadelphia Eagles Vs. Buffalo Bills-Eight Eagles players get the Impact Player award of this game. For the first half, I’ll recognize Carson Wentz, Dallas Goedert, Jordan Howard and Miles Sanders for accounting for all of the Philadelphia touchdowns. For the second half, I’ll recognize Fletcher Cox, Brandon Graham, Nathan Gerry and Derek Barnett for accounting for all of the Philadelphia sacks.
Los Angeles Chargers Vs. Chicago Bears-In a game that featured two punts and a missed field goal on the final three combined possessions, I’ll give the Impact Player award of this game to Austin Ekeler for catching what proved to be the game-winning 11-yard touchdown pass from Philip Rivers.
New York Giants Vs. Detroit Lions-Six Lions get the Impact Player award of this game. First up is the offensive side of the ball, with Matthew Stafford, Kenny Golloday and Marvin Hall accounting for three of the four Detroit touchdowns. Next is Devon Kennard for recording the lone Detroit forced turnover and Detroit’s other touchdown. And finally, Trey Flowers and Jarrad Davis for combining for the three Detroit sacks of Daniel Jones.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers Vs. Tennessee Titans-The Impact Player for this game is Logan Ryan for sealing the game with an interception of Jameis Winston at the Tennessee 25-yard line with 18 seconds to go in the game.
Denver Broncos Vs. Indianapolis Colts-Three Colts get the Impact Player award of this game. First is Jacoby Brissett for starting the game-winning drive with a brilliant 35-yard completion to T.Y. Hilton from the Colts 11-yard line. Oh yeah, and he made that completion with Von Miller in pursuit of him. Next up is Adam Vinatieri for kicking the game-winning field goal from 51 yards out. And finally, Colts rookie pass rusher Ben Banogu, whose game-ending one-yard sack of Joe Flacco slammed the door on a Broncos buzzer-beating victory.
Cincinnati Bengals Vs. Los Angeles Rams-Seven Rams get the Impact Player award of this game. First up is Jared Goff for going 17-for-31 for 372 yards and two touchdowns. Next up is Cooper Kupp for catching seven of those completions for 220 of those yards and one of the touchdowns. And finally is Aaron Donald, along with his cohorts Dante Fowler Jr, Corey Littleton, Michael Brockers and Ogbonnia Okoronkwo, for authoring the five L.A. sacks of Andy Dalton.
Arizona Cardinals Vs. New Orleans Saints-In his first game since Week 2, Drew Brees proved that the five-game absence wasn’t a factor at all, as he powered the Saints to a 27-9 victory via going 34-for-43 for 373 yards and three touchdowns. The performance makes the Super Bowl XLIV MVP the Impact Player of this game.
New York Jets Vs. Jacksonville Jaguars-Seven Jaguars get the Impact Player award for this game. I’ll start with Gardner Minshew II for going 22-for-34 for 278 net passing yards and three touchdowns. And as for the other six Jaguars players, well they are Yannick Ngakoue, Josh Allen, Calais Campbell, Ronnie Harrison, Dawuane Smoot, and Abry Jones for authoring the eight Jacksonville sacks of Sam Darnold.
Carolina Panthers Vs. San Francisco 49ers-Seven 49ers get the Impact Player award of this game. First up is Tevin Coleman for carrying the ball 11 times for 105 yards and three touchdowns. Second is Nick Bosa for amassing three of the seven San Francisco sacks and one of three San Francisco interceptions. Third is Arik Armstead, along with Ronald Blair III and D.J. Jones, for amassing the other four San Francisco sacks. And lastly is Richard Sherman, along with Emmanuel Moseley, for recording the other two San Francisco interceptions.
Cleveland Browns Vs. New England Patriots-Four Patriots get the Impact Player award of this game. First is Tom Brady for going 20-for-36 for 259 yards (239 net) and two touchdowns. Next up is Julian Edelman for catching eight of those completions for 78 of those yards and both touchdowns. And lastly are Devin McCourty and Dont’a Hightower for recovering both of Nick Chubb’s fumbles, the latter of which was returned 26 yards for a touchdown.
Oakland Raiders Vs. Houston Texans-Four Texans get the Impact Player award of this game. They are Deshaun Watson, Carlos Hyde, DeAndre Hopkins and Darren Fells for accounting for all of the yards that enabled their team to burn the 3:56 that remained in regulation.
Green Bay Packers Vs. Kansas City Chiefs-Three Packers get the Impact Player award for this game. They are the Aarons (Rodgers and Jones) and Jamaal Williams for accounting for all of the yards that enabled their team to burn the 5:04 that remained in regulation.
Miami Dolphins Vs. Pittsburgh Steelers-Nine Steelers get the Impact Player award for this game. First up are Mason Rudolph, James Connor, JuJu Smith-Schuster, Dionte Johnson and Chris Boswell for accounting for all 27 unanswered Pittsburgh points. Next up is Minkah Fitzpatrick for recording two interceptions against his former team. And lastly is T.J. Watt, along with cohorts Cameron Heyward and Bud Dupree, for combining on the four Pittsburgh sacks of Ryan Fitzpatrick. Tune into the next matchup below for the Week 9 Impact Player award winners.
San Francisco 49ers Vs. Arizona Cardinals-In a game where the 49ers rushing attack was bottled up, along with the defense allowing 337 total net yards and 25 points, Jimmy Garoppolo carried the day for his team, as he went 28-for-37 for 310 net passing yards and four touchdowns. Garoppolo was responsible for all 28 San Francisco points, so both that and his stat line make him the Impact Player of this game.
Houston Texans Vs. Jacksonville Jaguars-In the Week 2 matchup between these two teams, Justin Reid was the Impact Player for stopping Leonard Fournette on that attempted game-winning two-point conversion attempt. And in the second meeting between these two teams, Reid is an Impact Player again for recording one of the two interceptions of Gardner Minshew II. But unlike that game, this game has multiple Impact Player award winners, in addition to Reid. I’ll continue with the theme of recorded interceptions, by rewarding Jahleel Addae with recording the other interception of Minshew II. Next category is fumble recoveries, with awards going to both Dylan Cole and Zach Cunningham for that such category. Next is sacks, with Brennan Scarlett and Carlos Watkins combining to record three of them against Minshew II, and Briean Boddy-Calhoun recording one of Jaguars punter Logan Cooke on special teams. Next up are Carlos Hyde for rushing for 160 yards on 19 carries and Duke Johnson for getting one of the three Texans touchdowns via a one-yard run. And lastly is Deshaun Watson, along with DeAndre Hopkins and Darren Fells, for accounting for the other two Texans touchdowns via the passing game. Overall, 12 Texans are the Impact Players for this game.
Washington Redskins Vs. Buffalo Bills-Seven Bills get Impact Player awards for this game. I’ll start with the offensive side of the ball, by recognizing Josh Allen, Devin Singletary and Cole Beasley for accounting for all of Buffalo’s touchdowns. And I’ll wrap it up with the defensive side of the ball, by recognizing Tre’Davious White, Jordan Phillips, Jerry Hughes and Trent Murphy for authoring the four combined sacks of Dwayne Haskins Jr.
Minnesota Vikings Vs. Kansas City Chiefs-Against a vaunted Minnesota defense, Matt Moore overcame a 10-yard loss via a Stephen Weatherly sack late in the game to drive his team 30 yards to set up Harrison Butker’s game-winning field goal from 44 yards out. The game-winning drive was a part of Moore’s stat line of 25-for-35 for 275 yards (230 net) and one touchdown, thus making him the Impact Player of this game.
New York Jets Vs. Miami Dolphins-After falling behind 7-0, Ryan Fitzpatrick led the Dolphins to a 21-0 run via three touchdown passes and the Dolphins didn’t surrender the lead after that. In addition to the three touchdown passes, Fitzpatrick had 24 completions on 36 attempts for 288 yards (266 net). The performance makes the well-traveled quarterback the Impact Player for this game.
Chicago Bears Vs. Philadelphia Eagles-The Impact Player of this is Eagles linebacker Duke Riley for recovering Adam Shaheen’s muffed catch of a Jake Elliott kickoff, with the Super Bowl 52 champions up by eight. 25 seconds remained after Riley’s recovery, thus allowing Carson Wentz to run out the clock against the Bears.
Indianapolis Colts Vs. Pittsburgh Steelers-The Impact Player in this game is Bud Dupree for tackling Marlon Mack for a three-yard loss to set up Adam Vinatieri’s failed attempt at a game-winning field goal from 43 yards out.
Tennessee Titans Vs. Carolina Panthers-The Impact Players for this game are Kyle Allen, Christian McCaffrey, Curtis Samuel and Joey Slye for scoring every Carolina point to make the game daunting early on for the Titans, as well as thwart any aspirations of a Tennessee comeback.
Detroit Lions Vs. Oakland Raiders-The Impact Player for this game is Karl Joseph for being the closest defender to Logan Thomas on a failed Matthew Stafford pass attempt that was intended for him.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers Vs. Seattle Seahawks-The Impact Player of this game is Russell Wilson for erasing an early 14-point deficit and capping off a game-winning touchdown drive in overtime with a 10-yard scoring pass to Jacob Hollister.
Cleveland Browns Vs. Denver Broncos-The Impact Player of this game is Phillip Lindsay for gaining 16 yards on a direct snap rush on a 2nd-and-9 play to allow the Broncos to run out the clock against the Browns.
Green Bay Packers Vs. Los Angeles Chargers-Four Chargers get the Impact Player award for this game. First up is Philip Rivers for going 21-for-28 for 294 yards (283 net). Second is Melvin Gordon for carrying the ball 20 times for 80 yards and two touchdowns. And lastly, Joey Bosa and Melvin Ingram for combining for all three sacks of Aaron Rodgers.
New England Patriots Vs. Baltimore Ravens-Eight Ravens get the Impact Player award for this game. First up is Lamar Jackson for going 17-for-23 for 163 yards (162 net) and a touchdown, along with 16 rushes for 61 yards and two more scores on the ground. Second and third are Mark Ingram for punishing the Patriots with 115 yards on the ground, and Gus Edwards with a statement-making 12-yard touchdown run. Fourth is Patrick Onwuasor for getting an early sack of Tom Brady and forcing a fumble of Juilan Edelman. Fifth is Marlon Humphrey for returning Edelman’s fumble 70 yards for a game-turning touchdown. Sixth and seventh are Willie Snead for catching a seven-yard pass on 4th-and-4 with the Ravens up 24-20, and Nick Boyle for catching the ensuing five-yard touchdown pass to make it 30-20. And finally, Earl Thomas, whose 24-yard interception return set up Jackson’s rushing touchdown to ice the game.

In this game, Wentz was 30-for-43 for 266 yards (258 net) and three touchdowns. Second is Greg Ward Jr. for catching the third and final touchdown pass from Wentz, a go-ahead score from four yards out. Third is Avonte Maddox for getting a game-ending sack of Dwayne Haskins Jr. that resulted in a fumble. Fourth is Malcolm Jenkins occupying a blocker that allowed Maddox to get that sack. And fifth is Nigel Bradham for returning that Haskins Jr. fumble 48 yards for a touchdown to cement the Philadelphia victory.
Seattle Seahawks Vs. Carolina Panthers-Three Seahawks get the Impact Player award for this game. They are Russell Wilson, Chris Carson and Tyler Lockett for milking the final 3:09 of regulation to play keep away from the Panthers.
Jacksonville Jaguars Vs. Oakland Raiders-The Impact Player of this game is Ronnie Harrison for being the closest defender to Derek Carr’s final pass attempt of the game.
Cleveland Browns Vs. Arizona Cardinals-The Impact Player of this game is Kenyan Drake for having 137 rushing yards and four touchdowns on 22 carries.
Minnesota Vikings Vs. Los Angeles Chargers-It was Purple Reign in the City Of Angels, as seven Vikings defensive players get the Impact Player award of this game. First up is Minnesota’s best defensive player in Danielle Hunter for getting a sack and fumble recovery. Second is Ifeadi Odenigbo for getting a sack and returning a fumble 56 yards for a touchdown. Third is Jaleel Johnson for recording the third Minnesota sack of Philip Rivers. Fourth is Harrison Smith for recording both an interception and fumble recovery. Fifth is Trae Waynes for having the fourth Minnesota fumble recovery. And finally, Anthony Harris and Mike Hughes for recording the other two interceptions thrown by Rivers.
Los Angeles Rams Vs. Dallas Cowboys-Seven Cowboys get the Impact Player award of this game. First and second are Tony Pollard and Ezekiel Elliott for respective stat lines of 12 carries for 131 yards and a touchdown, and 24 carries for 117 yards and two touchdowns. Third is Dak Prescott for going 15-for-23 for 212 yards and two touchdowns. Fourth and fifth are Jason Witten and Tavon Austin for each being on the receiving end of touchdown passes thrown by Prescott. Sixth is Sean Lee recording both an interception and sack of Jared Goff. And finally, Jourdan Lewis for recording the other sack of Goff.
Atlanta Falcons Vs. San Francisco 49ers-The Impact Players of this game are Matt Ryan and Julio Jones for collaborating on the game-winning five-yard touchdown passing play to give the Falcons a 23-22 lead (an eventual win) with two seconds to go in the game.
Buffalo Bills Vs. Pittsburgh Steelers-Ten Bills get the Impact Player award of this game. First is Josh Allen for getting a rushing touchdown, along with throwing for another. Second is Tyler Kroft for catching that touchdown, the game-winner from 14 yards out. Third is John Brown for having the huge 40-yard reception to help set up that aforementioned Allen-to-Kroft touchdown. Fourth is Devin Singletary for gaining 87 hard earned rushing yards on 21 carries. Fifth, sixth and seventh are Jordan Phillips, Shaq Lawson and Trent Murphy for combining for the four Buffalo sacks of Devlin Hodges. Eight is Jordan Poyer for recording both an interception and fumble recovery. New Orleans Saints-The Impact Player of this game is Drew Brees for passing Peyton Manning as the NFL’s all-time touchdown passing leader and eclipsing his understudy, Philip Rivers, for the highest completion percentage in a single game. Kansas City Chiefs Vs. Chicago Bears-The Impact Player of this game is Patrick Mahomes for going 23-for-33 for 251 yards (244 net) and two touchdowns. Plus, he added two carries for 14 yards and a touchdown on the ground.
Green Bay Packers Vs. Minnesota Vikings-The Impact Player of this game is Aaron Jones for putting the game out of reach for the Vikings via a 56-yard touchdown run. Los Angeles Chargers Vs. Kansas City Chiefs-The Impact Player of this game is Damien Williams for slamming the door on an L.A. with a late seven-yard touchdown run to extend Kansas City’s lead to 31-21, along with playing a big part in the Chiefs getting the two seed in the AFC.
Chicago Bears Vs. Minnesota Vikings-The Impact Player of this game is Eddie Jackson for ending Chicago’s season on a high note with a game-ending interception of Sean Mannion.
Miami Dolphins Vs. New England Patriots-The Impact Players for this season’s most shocking game are Ryan Fitzpatrick and Mike Gesicki for collaborating on the game-winning touchdown passing play of five yards to win their final game of the season, along with denying the Patriots the First Round bye that they have lived off of for the nine seasons prior to this one.

Oakland Raiders Vs. Denver Broncos-The Impact Player of this game is Shelby Harris for batting down Derek Carr’s two-point conversion pass attempt that would have given the Raiders a 17-16 win. Instead, they lost 16-15.
Arizona Cardinals Vs. Los Angeles Rams-The Impact Players of this game are Troy Reeder and Samson Ebukan for collaborating on Damiere Byrd’s fumble, with the former forcing it and the latter recovering it.
Philadelphia Eagles Vs. New York Giants-Three Eagles get the Impact Player award for this game. First and second are Malcolm Jenkins and Fletcher Cox, the former of whom forced Daniel Jones to fumble and the latter of whom recovered the fumble. The recovery would then lead to Boston Scott (the third Impact Player of this game) scoring a two-yard touchdown via a run to help Philadelphia eventually pull away for the 34-17 victory en route to their second NFC East division title in three years.
Indianapolis Colts Vs. Jacksonville Jaguars-Two Jaguars are Impact Players of this game, with Yannick Ngakoue forcing Jacoby Brissett to fumble and Calais Campbell returning the fumble eight yards for a touchdown to extend the Jaguars lead to 31-20, as well as give them the momentum for the rest of the game, by virtue of winning it, 38-20.
Pittsburgh Steelers Vs. Baltimore Ravens-The Impact Player of this game is Jordan Richards for recovering a fumble for a touchdown in the end zone to extend Baltimore’s lead to 26-10 late in the fourth quarter. The play dashed any hopes of a Pittsburgh late-game rally, along with giving the Ravens a franchise-best record of 14-2.
Tennessee Titans Vs. Houston Texans-Three Titans get the Impact Player award of this game. First up is A.J. Brown for hauling in four passes for 124 yards to go over 1,000 receiving yards as a rookie this season, along with one of those catches going for the early game-tying touchdown from 51 yards out. Second is MyCole Pruitt for catching a one-yard touchdown pass to give the Titans a 14-7 lead that they would never relinquish. And finally, Derrick Henry for having 32 carries for 211 yards and three touchdowns, the last of which went 53 yards to give the 2015 Heisman Trophy winner the 2019 NFL rushing title. Oh yeah, and the Titans won the game to claim the sixth seed in the AFC playoff bracket.
San Francisco 49ers Vs. Seattle Seahawks-The Impact Players of this game are Dre Greenlaw and Fred Warner tackling Jacob Hollister a yard shy of the end zone on fourth-and-goal to prevent the Seahawks from a last-second comeback win in the second meeting between these two teams. The win for San Francisco became monumental, as it gave them home-field advantage throughout the NFC playoffs.
