I have suffered from medical illness ever since I was born.
I was born with cystic fibrosis, and I’ve lived in hospital rooms hooked up to machines.
But that didn’t stop me because my will to live, my happiness, and feeling like that my life had meaning was my ability to draw.
No matter how sick I was, a piece of paper, pencils and erasers let me escape death and my reality even for a moment.
I create because I love it. It gives me purpose and keeps my soul alive. I don’t do it to make money, but to be able to help my husband and I would be a blessing.
As for the artwork that I do, well I excel in drawing animals, scenery and zentangle. And as for the mediums that I use, I work best in graphite pencil, charcoal pencil, colored pencil, pen and markers.
Thank you for taking the time to look through my works.
Many blessings to you,
Elaine Pennington
