The four Flickuum movies that come to mind, in terms of A) Revisionist history, B) Change in minor details about real-life events and C) Historical inaccuracies/continuity errors are “Inglorious Basterds”, “Once Upon A Time…In Hollywood”, “Dangerous Minds” and “Pocahontas”, respectively, and all of them get to keep their fully guaranteed spots, no questions asked. So, with all of that being said, I have decided to pardon “Gran Turismo” from the Movie-Ocrity/Dishonorable Mention page to re-assess it, especially since the 2023 movie’s historical inaccuracies/continuity errors are probably not as blatant as the aforementioned “Pocahontas”, therefore it will most likely make The Project. Plus, I would like to see the dynamic between the characters of Archie Madekwe and Djimon Hounson at least one more time.
The Movies That Mega Tat Refuses To See page gained a third movie, in the form of Tiffani-Amber Thiessen’s other 1995 made-for-TV movie “She Fought Alone”, due to me feeling that she doesn’t fit the role of socially awkward teenage girl trying to fit in with all of the popular girls. And that’s not the only reason why that movie is going on that page because in addition, the fact that John Mansfield collaborated with her on this after “Saved By The Bell: Wedding In Las Vegas” feels like a complete letdown to me. Looks like Ving Rhames got saved by a Saved By The Bell alumnus, as “Rosewood” and “Dangerous Ground” were the ones that kicked off that page.
The magic number is now three for “Do Revenge”, as “Airheads” was a lousy heavy metal version of “The Blues Brothers”. But of course, it was predicted that the 1994 movie wouldn’t clinch a Tier 11 spot, thus this outcome isn’t surprising at all.
And finally, with the pardon of “Gran Turismo” comes something in return, as no movie just walks away from the Movie-Ocrity/Dishonorable Mention page without something coming back in return. So, with that being said, a two for the price of one trade has just been completed, with that page getting both “House Of The Dead 2” and the freshly re-assessed “Airheads”, so that the former of the three movies can be re-assessed, but on a day sometime after May 20, 2024.
Well, it’s time to carry out my goal of completing five more assessments/re-assessments, as I want that steady two per day average starting tomorrow after I wake up. But I’m going to have to haul ass as soon as I finish posting the latest site update on Facebook.
Until the next time.
