Cre-eight!

In the span of about 126 hours, 14 more movies punched their tickets to getting overall guaranteed Catch-22 Hundred spots, with 12 of those movies making it sports standings style, due to the movie “Nobody” rounding out that group via its successful re-assessment. But of course, the overall guaranteed spot-filling for the Catch-22 Hundred Project is far from over, as we are now in the format of eight movies released before 2023 battling each other for the top spot standings style once again, followed by that top movie needing The Creator to officially fail its assessment, so that it can be one step closer to being an enshrined Catch-22 Hundred movie.

Of course, it wasn’t easy finding eight viable options for this soon-to-be conducted format, but I was able to find that many options. And let me tell you, not only are these eight options viable because in addition, any of them could either be A] Potential fallback options for any new/fairly new 2023 movie that could fail its assessment, B] A potential fallback option, in the event that Mending The Line fails its assessment or C] Potential building blocks for final 78 movies.

Alright, so without any more ado, it’s time to mention each movie and why they are each getting assessed via the chart below:

MovieWhy it’s getting assessed
Mrs. Harris Goes To ParisI alluded to this movie in part 4 of When Depth Is Diminished, It’s Time To Replenish!, as I cited it as a movie that can potentially work well with The Blackening in an evaluation line-up, along with citing the presence of Alba Baptista. So yes, this is just a rehashing about it via this entry.
BreakingThis movie could work well as the first half of an evaluation doubleheader with Taking Lives, the latter of which is a Tier 5 movie.
Believe MeSinqua Walls elevates any movie that he’s in and this movie could be another such movie.
Watermelon ManDogville and Manderlay are among the most controversial movies that I’ve both assessed and reviewed in my career. This movie predates them both by 30-plus years. But the late 1960s/early 1970 vibe, coupled with the late Melvin Van Peebles expertly directing it, both make it a “flier” movie that could do surprisingly well in its assessment.
Killing SeasonRobert De Niro Vs. John Travolta? Sign me up!
The Banshees Of InisherinA Colin Farrell movie, post-Dumbo 2019, hasn’t been assessed. But based on the plot, this 2022 movie is worthy of that feat.
Big SurKate Bosworth is the textbook example of morphing from cute door girl to total smoke show and this movie puts that on full display.
Hey Good Lookin’ This movie came to mind after both the assessment of MFKZ and the selection of Watermelon Man, due to it being the combination of a two-dimensional animated movie that pushes the envelope.

Well, there you have it. The eight movies that are going to cannibalize each other, followed by the winner facing off against The Creator. And just like all the other battles for overall guaranteed Catch-22 Hundred spots, this one will surely provide a rush of adrenaline.
