For nearly two months, “Dream Scenario” has been reserved as the final overall guaranteed Flickuum movie before the battle for the final 99 Project spots truly begins. And if you think that particular Nicolas Cage movie is the only one that strangely connects Nadine Velazquez with Melissa Barrera, well then wait until you read about my unique experience with another one of his other movies and how that pertains to both of those actresses.
Let’s begin.
First up, let’s stay on the topic of that other Nicolas Cage movie, as I assessed and re-assessed “Leaving Las Vegas”, which isn’t uncommon, because I have assessed and re-assessed many other movies. However, what makes that movie unique is A] I assessed it nearly two full days after assessing “The Bounce Back”, and B] I re-assessed it on the day that “In The Heights” got its United States wide theatrical release. Of course, I didn’t plan any of that at all, as I had an expiring rental period with the 1995 movie the first time around, followed by being in the mood for a Nicolas Cage movie after my second re-assessment of “The Age Of Adeline” the second time around. But after the 2023 ascents of both Nadine Velazquez and Melissa Barrera, I see that Nicolas Cage movie in a whole different way, thus it could be the one that gets reserved for the 2,801st overall guaranteed Flickuum spot. Stay tuned.
Michelle Rodriguez has trended upwards this month, as “Battle In Seattle” has become a quality depth piece for The Project, followed by “Widows” getting reserved for a pardon from the Movie-Ocrity/Dishonorable Mention page. And of course, that pending pardon is just the tip of that iceberg, as a six-pack of her movies have been added to the assessment/re-assessment roster. And as to what those movies are, well they are the following:
- Milton’s Secret
- The Assignment
- InAPPropriate Comedy
- Battle Los Angeles
- Gardens Of The Night
- Control
Going from a six-pack to a pair of sevens, well I’ve constantly grappled with the “no winners” component that’s in the movie “Seven Samurai”, as well as grappling with that same component via the original version of “The Magnificent Seven”. But looking at that component from a realistic standpoint, I don’t feel letdown by either of those movies anymore, thus they too will be granted pending pardons from the Movie-Ocrity/Dishonorable page as soon as I find two additional movies for an even trade. Stay tuned.
Initially, I wanted “La Mujer De Mi Hermano” to be the movie reserved for spot 2,801, but I have to re-assess that movie with English subtitles since the Pluto app doesn’t have the English subtitles feature. And of course, I already alluded to “Leaving Las Vegas” as the next movie that will get a crack at the particular spot. But that spot isn’t exclusively reserved for just either of those two movies, as I initially wanted “See How They Run” for that spot, due to it being popular around the time that I was preparing for my full-on assessment of “Saved By The Bell: Wedding In Las Vegas”. So, with that being said, I’ll still use that approach with the 2022 movie, as success isn’t guaranteed with neither my original choice for that spot nor my current choice for that spot. But should all three movies pass their assessments/re-assessments, then tabbing one of them for that spot will be a good problem to have.
And finally, Megan Fox has also trended upwards, due to her most recent movie “Subservience” popping up in the Netflix app when I was surfing it not too long ago, along with the fact that “This Is 40” got the most recent fully guaranteed Flickuum spot. Plus, given that she is the smoke show that she always is via the former of the two movies, I’ve went ahead and added that one to the roster along with the trio of “Midnight In The Switchgrass”, “Till Death” and “Johnny & Clyde”.
Well, the plethora of Project candidates continues to grow, as 560 more questions still need to be answered between now and New Year’s Day 2027. But given all the intriguing possibilities that abound, I’m totally confident that that 560 will shrink a bit and shrink for the first time since a week ago yesterday.
Until the next time.
